Geofencing and area monitoring make using GPS tracking as convenient as possible. You do not need to constantly check the current position of your vehicles, roadlox monitors areas defined by you and notifes you,, as soon as a vehicle enters or leaves the area. For example, you can be informed if a vehicle leaves your premises without authorisation at night or arrives at a customer’s loading bay.

How does GPS positioning work with roadlox?

All you need to use GPS tracking is our telematics unit for the tractor unit or trailer. For location tracking, we use, among other things, the global Global Positioning System (GPS). Equipped with a GPS receiver, one can determine their position and speed at any time and from anywhere. For accurate positioning, the GPS receiver must receive the transmitted position data and timestamps from at least three GPS satellites. The data collected is transmitted directly from our telematics units to the data center and made available on our internet portal. This means you can always find the exact position of your vehicles and track all movements precisely.

What data does my trailer provide?

Depending on the manufacturer and specifications, semi-trailers provide various data: location, mileage, weight or temperatures in the cargo area. The electronic braking system (EBS) and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) also provide important data.

How long does it take to install it in the trailer?

Installing the telematics unit in the trailer depends on various factors. The telematics unit with a direct EBS connection, the “trendbeeTrailer easy” is simply connected to the EBS modulator using the supplied cable and secured to the vehicle. That’s all there is to it. If the trailer telematics unit is to be connected to both the EBS and the refrigeration unit, more steps are naturally required. Our installation team will be happy to assist you with the installation, provide guidance to your staff, or, upon request, handle the entire installation process.
