Our driver's license control system provides security and is quick and easy to implement. A unique NFC sticker will be affixed to each driving license.

The only thing to ensure is that no important data is obscured. The unique NFC tag ID is stored in the master data of your employees. This ensures a unique assignment. The NFC seal (NFC tag) is tamper- and forgery-proof and cannot be removed without being damaged. If a driver's license has to be handed in, the NFC tag cannot be detached and reused.

The legal situation regarding digital driving license checks

As a company with its own fleet (vehicle owner), you are required by law to regularly check your employees' driving licenses.

Many do this once a year in the form of a visual inspection. More frequent checks often involve a lot of additional effort. Digital driver's license checks can help here. To comply with legal requirements, the employer or fleet manager must consider the following points:

As the vehicle owner, you have a duty to check that drivers hold a valid driving license; otherwise, you risk substantial fines. The legal basis for this is regulated, among other places, in § 21 of the Road Traffic Act (STVG).
The frequency of checks is not regulated. Legal experts recommend carrying out the check at least twice a year.
The original driving license document must be presented in person at the first examination.
