Without additional telematics in the trailer

The assignment of a semi-trailer to the tractor unit can be achieved without an additional telematics unit in the semi-trailer. The semi-trailers are equipped with an RFID tag for this purpose; There is no need for complex cabling on the trailer. On the tractor unit, a suitable antenna is installed and connected to the telematics unit in the truck. When the trailer is coupled and uncoupled, the RFID tag is detected and assigned to the tractor unit.

How long does it take to install it in the trailer?

Installing the telematics unit in the trailer depends on various factors. The telematics unit with a direct EBS connection, the “trendbeeTrailer easy” is simply connected to the EBS modulator using the supplied cable and secured to the vehicle. That’s all there is to it. If the trailer telematics unit is to be connected to both the EBS and the refrigeration unit, more steps are naturally required. Our installation team will be happy to assist you with the installation, provide guidance to your staff, or, upon request, handle the entire installation process.
